Ever have trouble teaching a child to do long division? Then this is the app for you. This is the best educational math app out there! All of my students are now very successful with long division. I love the flexibility of it. It provides step by step support for those who need it, and as the childs understanding increases, the extra supports can be removed. Awesome! The support of the developer is also awesome. Within days, there was an update to fix a glitch we found. Thank you!

I thought you could fill in the blanks and watch the long division happen. As it turns out, all you can do is watch it pick random numbers. So I wasted 1.99. I ended up downloading the other long division program which is what I needed. And it was only .99 cents..

First the good news: it does what it says. It shows the steps that go into long division. Now the bad news: you need to know in advance how many decimal places to use. For example, depending on how many decimal places you start with, 20 / 1 = 0.0 R1, or 0.05, or 0.050. These values could confuse a kid with a shaky grasp of decimals. I would prefer it if the app responded more like a calculator. That is, 20 / 1 returns 0.05. I would also like the app to clearly show subtraction operations by showing the minus sign. But thats just me. Overall Im happy with the app and Im going to keep it.

My son is just learning division and multiplication and this is a great utility in helping that process

This app does what it sets out to do - help you study the long division method. The animation looks nice. I wish it allowed me to end an exercise earlier if I know for sure my answer is correct.

This app does a great job illustrating long division and helping my son practice the skills needed to work through problems!!! Very well done!!!

It does all it promises. I have forgotten everything I learned at school but I easily learned again. It has minimalistic design and very friendly interface, nothing draws attention from the content. It has great customization features - user can set interface due to his preferences to make the process of learning even more comfortable. I totally recommend this app to anyone who wants to learn division.

This app is an excellent reinforcement of the skills in completing a long division problem. My students love this app. They are working, learning and having fun all at the same time!!

Long Division is a fantastic tool for teaching kids the (sometimes complicated) steps of dividing. It carefully guides you through each step of long division and helps you understand the entire process. The settings screen has a ton of options so you can adjust the difficulty to whats appropriate for your child.

I was having trouble with my long div and I had a test the next day I practiced on this app all day and I got an A+ on my test!!! It is sooo great!!!

Im 43 years old and havnt done long division in years lol... But its a great refresher course and thank you so much... I would like u to update the program so i can divide 1 into 3, it defaults 3 divide into 1. Can u update more then 5 digits like get into really long division change up to 5 digits on the left and 12 digits on the right thanks -NeverWinter

Exactly what I was looking for my daughter (4th grade), I wanted a step by step operation process for her to learn? I purchased 2 other "step by step" apps that did not do what this one does. Finally I hit the jack pot!

I am 11 yrs old and I have trouble with LONG DIVISION and this helped me a lot I heard of this app because my teacher asked another teacher if he had downloaded it so as soon I got home I told my mom if she could buy it I luvv it 

2 thumbs up! A must have app. If you have 3-5th grade children. Can you add sound?

I use the long division, long multiplication, column addition and column subtraction apps with my special education students in grades 1 through 5. I have my iPad connected to my LCD projector and we go through problems in their math books step by step. The kids love it and complete to see who can get the most problems correct. My district is looking at putting iPads into more classrooms and I hope they will include these apps. S Campbell special education teacher, resource K5

Excellent!! This really helps my son. Would like to see capability added for emailing solved problems or saving a solved problem set.

The app does what it says okay, however it gives you the answer in the form of randomly generated numbers that you pick the right one from rather than figuring it out yourself, which is what a real problem will have you do. And the price is quite steep to me for a one function app. Other apps, such as the ABTC calculator let you perform many functions, break down each step, and are much cheaper.
